I found this excellent video on randi.org. It deserves to go viral so I'm posting it here to help with that goal.
I'm often accused of being closed-minded due to my skepticism. The opposite is true, but it can be difficult to express to those confronting me. This is an excellent refutation of that claim.

Beauty. That is exactly the idea we kept coming back to in our discussion of what goes in textbooks and what good science questions are all about - not a preconceived endpoint, but rather new understanding, and therefore, new questions. Creationists only want questions if the answer is "God did it."

This was too good to loose.

I've made this a forum piece and hopefully people will discuss, with an open mind of course!

No Libel Laws in Science

The use of the English libel laws to silence critical discussion of medical practice and scientific evidence discourages debate, denies the public access to the full picture and encourages use of the courts to silence critics. The British Chiropractic Association has sued Simon Singh for libel. The scientific community would have preferred that it had defended its position about chiropractic through an open discussion in the medical literature or mainstream media.
