This week we were again joined by Nigel to discuss (briefly) Rebecca Watson's wedding at TAM7 before moving on to our guest Stuart Robbins. Stuart Robbins is a astronomy PHD candidate at CU who we first met at the Denver Skepticamp. He joined us to discuss the Moon Landing Hoax theories and give them a sound debunking. There was also a short interview with Jason Wolvington and Toby Swaford from the newly matched Fort Collins Museum/Discovery Science Center. They spoke to us about their upcoming Moon exhibit with grand opening that includes a "virtual space center" video conference with the Houston Space Center.

No Libel Laws in Science

The use of the English libel laws to silence critical discussion of medical practice and scientific evidence discourages debate, denies the public access to the full picture and encourages use of the courts to silence critics. The British Chiropractic Association has sued Simon Singh for libel. The scientific community would have preferred that it had defended its position about chiropractic through an open discussion in the medical literature or mainstream media.
